When are we operational?
We are available from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 18:00.
The service can be accessed directly with National Health Service authorization
7.30 – 8.30: Blood tests are made
10.00 – 13.00: The diabetologist performs visits and individual medical meetings on diabetes, to educate patients on correct nutrition to prevent or slow down potential cardiovascular and neurological complications. During these meetings the doctor performs an individual therapy, from the educational point of view, counselling about different themes depending on the patient. Patients are received depending on the order of arrival until 13:00.
At the end of the diagnostic path, the diabetologist shall draw up a detailed report for the attending doctor for the continuation of therapy.
Until 16:00 clinical tests are made to diagnose and prevent potential complications for patients at risk.
13.00 – 14.00: The nurses teaches self-monitoring methods through daily control of blood sugar parameters, with the use of reflectometer; painless techniques for the use of pen and penfil are taught, also for children and adolescent.
