FOR ARTERIAL DISEASES:

  • Conventional techniques or techniques for biological or synthetic by-pass, angioplasties, implants, etc.
  • Endovascular techniques or percutaneous placement of endoprosthesis for thoracic and abdominal aorta, arterial angioplasty with or without stent
  • “Hybrid” techniques associating the previous techniques in the same patient in an appropriate operating room

FOR VENOUS DISEASES::

  • Conventional techniques performing saphenectomies, major veins stripping, varicectomies for medium calibre vessels and crossectomies
  • Endovascular techniques, using laser, radio frequency, cyanoacrylate glues, ultrasound-guided mechanical-chemical ablations (Clarivein).

ASSOCIATED TREATMENTS are also performed: infusion therapy (systemic or intra-arterial), marrow stimulation, epidural probe placement (for ischemic pain therapy), elastic-compressive bands, “advanced” medications and skin grafts in collaboration with Wound Therapy and Diabetic Foot Centre.

Outpatient Activity

We also perform outpatient visits like:

  • Arterial vascular surgery and phlebology visits
  • Neck and abdomen vascular diagnostics, instrumental and non-invasive
  • Lower and upper limb arterial and venous Echo-color-doppler
  • “Integrated” outpatient activity with Wound Therapy and Diabetic Foot Centre colleagues

 

In collaboration with Wound Therapy and Diabetic Foot unit, we study and treat vascular diseases of diabetic patients.

Doctor-patient relations

Particular attention is dedicated to customization of services and cures.
Patients are subject to two routine visits everyday with doctors and nurses and encounters with relatives are made at set times..

 

During outpatient visits, great care is dedicated in explaining the condition, possible alternatives and also families are involved when essential.
