We concentrate on the patient and his abdominal or thoracic surgery needs. We take charge of the patient after an office or ER visit. Depending on the situation, an intervention in outpatient surgery, Day Hospital or ordinary hospitalization can be programmed.

Some conditions not requiring inpatient admission are treated.
Day surgery access is programmed if the necessity emerges after an ambulatory specialist examination.
Ordinary Admissions
Ordinary admissions are scheduled in case of conditions requiring medium or high medical attention. Following examination by a specialized surgeon, the patients will be included in the surgical program. This consists in a pre-admission program, where the patient will undergo medical checks and anesthesiological evaluations. After this process there will be admission and surgery.
Conditions treated and cured
General surgery takes care of all benign, malignant and functional disorders regarding gastro-intestinal tract (stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, anus), cholecystitis and bile-ducts, hernias, incisional hernias, thyroid, parathyroid, breast and proctological conditions and obesity.
We take care of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis, and colitis with an undetermined cause. Thoracic surgery takes care of thoracic wall, pleura and lung disorders.
Surgery
Laparoscopic and robotic techniques are applied, not forgetting traditional open techniques. Particularly important is the minimally invasive laparoscopic technique, which can provide the same oncological and functional results of a traditional technique, with less postoperative pain, a rapid recovery and better aesthetic result.
This operational unit received recognition from Società Italiana di Chirurgia Colo-Rettale (SICCR), as a high specialization and training centre for laparoscopic treatment of colon disorders.
Highly specialistic laparoscopic and open surgery is performed for chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, with state-of-art post-operative protocols, which can speed up the return to normal daily activities.
There are specialized nurses in managing stoma and for the rehabilitation.
When needed, robot assisted techniques are also performed.

For more than seventy years, We have been taking care of our patients from Veneto and
other regions, following them before, during and after their stay.
Outpatient Activity includes:
Particular attention is dedicated to customization of services and cures.
Medics of this unit work together with other specialists to treat conditions in a multidisciplinary team and choose the most appropriate therapy.
In order to improve communication between patient and doctor, a project was created in 2014: the nurse represents the point of reference for the patient during all the stay.
At the beginning of the stay, the patient is “assigned” to a “tutor nurse” who will be his spokesman for his necessities, interpreting and taking care of his needs.
